This week I completed my  finishing touches  on my magazine. I  went through and read the whole thing  and made sure everything was in the proper position and condition. I then went out and presented my magazine to two of my close friends and had them  point out any flaws or tell me any critiques  or changes they thought I should make to the magazine. They both agreed that I should change the color and placement of some of the words I had on the cover of the magazine to make it  look more visually pleasing and less confusing or hard to see and read.  I also was  advised to go  through and get rid of a few colors that I used throughout the magazine and replace them with colors that matched the color scheme of the magazine better. After this, I am content and satisfied with my  magazine as a whole .  

This week after I finished importing  all of  my materials into Adobe InDesign, I had to begin testing out the types of text I will have in my magazine.  I searched many different free font websites to find fonts that I believe will fit best with the theme, genre, and general aesthetic of the magazine. For the cover page, I spent a long time in Adobe Illustrator creating a title image for the  cover name or brand name of the magazine. I decided to name my magazine Boundaries and created a title that looked like it was dripping and dissolving into the background image. As for the text on the cover and throughout the article, I used pink, white , purple, and black for my text colors. I used these colors because they have a calm and out of the ordinary feel to them. I changed colors of certain words on the cover to bring focus onto them.  

  This week I have finished importing  all of  my images that I will be using for my magazine as well as importing my feature article.  Before I imported my images, I imported them into Adobe Photoshop, which is the Adobe program I have the most experience with. I edited them all to match the aesthetic and theme of the magazine, as well as doing any extra cropping or retouching the images needed. Then, I imported them into InDesign and be gan playing with where they would go and planning out where text may go around them. Then, I imported my finished feature article. I began planning out how many pictures I could fit in on the main article pages based on how much I had written, and which pictures would look best  on the page with the text, since they had to match what the article was about. I decided on a picture with my model that included her shoes to match the theme of fashion and shoes in the article.  

  This week I have imported my images into Adobe InDesign to begin creating and formatting my magazine as well as starting to write my feature article.  Luckily, I am already familiar with several Adobe  products  so I have used InDesign on several occasions, so when I imported my images I was not confused. The problem I had when I first started using Adobe products is that they can do s o much that you  don’t  know where to start.  Luckily, I had a general idea of what I wanted to do already planned  out  so I was able to dive right in and start messing around with cropping and word placement. I also started  writing  my main article, which I will  likely go  over what I have written  several times to see what I would like to keep and what I would like to change before I begin to  finalize  anything.  

  This week, I conducted my interviews for my feature  article,  and I have gone out and done my photoshoots for my magazine.  For my interview, I decided to conduct it on a family friend of mine, Emily, who was a punk back when she  was a teenager and was incredibly involved in the scene and social climate at the time.  I sat down with her and asked her a couple questions and gathered her thoughts and opinions on the topic of lace code for my feature article.  When I went out with my friend Lauren to take pictures for the magazine, the weather that day was cloudy, which was good because it made the images  more moody . I will sort through them and pick the best that match up with the theme to incorporate into the magazine. T hankfully, the images all came out well so I will not have to  go and do  another photoshoot.
